Privacy policy

1. Who we are
Avari BV ("Avari", "we", "us") operates Tenza at tenza.fun. Avari is the controller for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy explains what Tenza collects, why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.
2. Information we process
Playing Tenza
Your puzzle state, results, language, theme and audio preferences are stored in your browser so the game and your choices continue to work. This information normally stays on your device.
Optional analytics
If you accept analytics, Tenza creates random installation, browser-session and game identifiers and records limited events such as starting or finishing a puzzle, outcome, attempt count, broad viewport category, selected settings and use of certain controls. Tenza does not intentionally record tile values, pointer coordinates or a browser fingerprint.
With your consent, Google Analytics also receives usage information such as page and event data, approximate location derived from the IP address, and browser and device information. Tenza does not send its own random identifiers to Google Analytics.
Daily email subscription
If you subscribe, we process your email address, language, subscription and consent timestamps, delivery status, unsubscribe status and whether a signed Play link in a Tenza email was used. You can unsubscribe from every email.
Feedback
If you send feedback, we process the first name, email address, message, language and submission time you provide so we can review and answer it.
Security and forms
We process limited technical information needed to deliver the site, prevent abuse and protect forms. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded when you submit the subscription or feedback form and may process device, browser and interaction information under Google's terms.
Google Ads (planned, not currently active)
Tenza does not currently run Google Ads tags, advertising cookies or remarketing. If Avari later enables Google Ads for advertising, conversion measurement or remarketing, Google may process ad-click information, identifiers, device and browser information, and conversion events. We will update this policy and the consent controls before enabling those technologies, and advertising tags will only run after the prior opt-in consent required by applicable law.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Game delivery and preferences: to provide the game and functions you request and for our legitimate interest in operating a reliable service.
- Analytics: only with your consent. You may reject or withdraw consent without losing access to Tenza.
- Advertising and conversion measurement: only if Google Ads is later enabled, and only after the prior opt-in consent required by applicable law.
- Daily emails: with your consent. Unsubscribing stops future daily notifications.
- Feedback: to take steps at your request and for our legitimate interest in supporting players and improving Tenza.
- Security and legal compliance: for our legitimate interest in preventing abuse and securing the service, and where needed to comply with law.
4. Cookies and similar storage
The term “cookies” below also covers browser technologies such as local storage and session storage. Optional analytics remains off unless you choose “Accept analytics”. Reject and accept are presented at the same level. Your choice is kept for six months and can be changed at any time using “Privacy choices” in Settings or at the bottom of this page.

Global Privacy Control and an enabled browser Do Not Track signal are also respected by Tenza analytics. Browser signals do not prevent the strictly necessary storage used to remember the privacy choice and operate the game.
5. Recipients and international transfers
Depending on the feature you use, data may be processed by Avari and suppliers that host or support Tenza, including MongoDB (database services), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA. If Google Ads is later enabled, Google and any advertising partners configured by Avari may also receive advertising or conversion data after consent. They may only process data for the agreed service and subject to their applicable data-protection terms.
If personal data is processed outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, where required.
6. Retention
- First-party gameplay telemetry is retained for up to 90 days.
- Feedback submissions are retained for up to 365 days.
- Email delivery and engagement history is retained for up to 90 days.
- An active subscriber's email is kept while the subscription remains active. After unsubscription or automatic archiving for inactivity, the inactive subscriber record is scheduled for deletion within 90 days.
- Google Analytics retains information according to the settings and terms applicable to Avari's Analytics property; its browser cookies may last up to two years.
- If Google Ads is later enabled, advertising and conversion data will be retained according to the configured Google Ads settings and the disclosures in the then-current version of this policy.
We may retain limited information longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or comply with a legal obligation.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You may complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority where you live or work. More information is available at dataprotectionauthority.be.
8. Children, security and changes
Tenza is a general-audience puzzle and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to submit personal data. If you believe a child has done so, please contact us.
We use proportionate technical and organisational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We may update this policy when Tenza or applicable requirements change. The updated date at the top identifies the current version.
9. Contact us
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, open Tenza and use the Feedback form in Settings. Please include enough information for us to understand and answer your request.
